For Your Beautiful Eyes Only!

Hello ladies!

I thought I would share with you today a some information regarding the proper care of the eye area.
The area surrounding the eyes requires proper attention and specially formulated products. Many ladies will use whatever cream they use for the face (day cream, night cream etc) also on the eye area. DON’T DO IT. The skin surrounding the eye area is much thinner and thus much more delicate than the skin on the rest of our face. Using a regular cream that is not specifically formulated for the eye are ends up clogging the pores of the skin around the eyes, since these are usually thicker preparations, and also may contain ingredients that are too harsh and not appropriate for use around the eyes.

The skin surrounding the eye area is perhaps the one place where the symptoms of aging become first and most easily visible (crows feet), and since it is thin and delicate is also easily susceptible to damage.

What are the benefits of Eye Products?

First of all, they are specially formulated to be used in this delicate skin area, and contain the right ingredients in the proper amounts to effectively address the ageing and skin care problems associated with this area.

The most common of these problems that eye creams, serums and ampoules aim in solving include: fine or not so fine lines on the side of the eyes, expression wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness under the eyes.

Some Application Tips

1. Always Apply the Correct Amount.
Don’t go overboard with the amount of product you use. As is the case with all cream preparations more quantity used does not mean better results. As a matter of fact, the exact opposite is true. Too much application of a cream preparation (whether on the face or eyes) end sup clogging the pores of the skin, the skin cannot “breath”. This is even more so when it comes to the delicate area around the eyes. For example, I tell my clients that as a rule of thumb, for a face cream 1 ml of the cream is enough for the face area. For the eye area perhaps 1/3 or ¼ of 1 ml is more than adequate! Besides, there is always the possibility that if you apply too much of an eye cream or eye serum, it may end making your eyes sting

2. Apply the cream Delicately
This should be obvious. Since the area surrounding the eyes is thin and more delicate, the manner of applying the products should also be done in a soft and gentle way, Don’t rub the cream like you would do when you apply a cream on your face. Instead apply the cream by making little dots with the eye cream or serum and then massage gently with small motions.

Also....please use a specifc eye cleansing product to remove make up, and to clean the sensitive area around the eyes. Try not to use your regular cleansing milk and lotion on this delicate area.
